Hello, Roses!
Ah, October, one of our favourite months of the year! I just love the aesthetic of pumpkins, fall leaves, and cutesy Halloween decorations. (It’s also the perfect time to do a re-read of Woven by Gold, am I right?!)
Helen and I have just finished what we’ve been calling the ‘Convention Gauntlet’. In the last two months, we’ve been to five different countries, visited ten different cities, and gotten to meet SO many of our incredible readers. I talk about this a lot, but writing can be a lonely business. There is something so nourishing to the creative soul to get to hear in person that someone loves Caspian or is pissed off by Dayton in that one scene or this is their first why-choose or any number of fun/insightful/hilarious/loving things people have told us! I truly, no-joke, bottom-of-my-heart have made memories I will treasure for a lifetime.
We’re home for a solid chunk now, and it’s time to get back into laptop mode. Butt, meet couch, you guys are going to be well-acquainted over the next little bit! Our little business is undergoing a lot of changes as we publish more books, so there’s been a TON of challenging admin to figure out. We’re so lucky to have an incredible support system, with family and friends who have pooled their resources/talents/and knowledge to help us learn and grow. But the most exciting news is that we’re also diving into Book 5! There are SO many things I’m stoked for with Book 5! Picture an aurora borealis painting the glittering snowscape with vibrant, jewelled-tone light … That’s what you’ll find within the pages :)
Broken by Daylight audiobook for US/Canada? Book 5 release date?
Just a quick update on two big questions!
Firstly, when will the audiobook for Broken by Daylight release in the US/Canada? It is so close, you guys! All the recording has been done, and it’s in with the editor. Helen and I will be proofing it as it’s edited so we can get it out to you as soon as possible! Trust us, this will be WORTH THE WAIT! Stefanie and Rob are truly two of the most talented voice actors in the WORLD (no, I am not biased!!!) I’m so proud to say our audio production team has become very close and tight-knit over the last two years of working together, and we just know you’re going to love BbD when it comes out! We’ll keep you updated!
Secondly, is there are release date for Book 5? Trust us (again hah), when I tell you there is no one in the world who wants to know this more than us! The thing about being hybrid (ie having a traditional publisher in some territories and indie publishing in others) is there are a lot more irons in the fire that need to be accounted for. We feel like we’ll have an update soon for you all…

Alright, ready?
Hazy drew the Cuddle Pile picture of Rosalina, Farron, and Dayton for us last year! It received such an amazing response, we knew we had to finish the art series! The first picture shown here is from Broken by Daylight and is featured in the book! It shows the scene where Rosalina, Kel, and Cas spend the night together <3
The other image is from Forged by Malice, after Rosalina has first seen Ezryn’s face and they are intimate in the grove! We hope you love them as much as we do! These prints will all be up on our shop and available for purchase next month :)

Watching: I’ve been really into watching my favourite travel vloggers, Kara and Nate! They’re in Scotland right now!
Listening To: The Rings of Power soundtrack. The music is perfect for a certain book idea!
Reading: I just picked up The Nightmare before Kissmas by Sara Raasch and I am excited to dive in!
Elizabeth:
Watching: My husband has got me totally into Dungeon Meshi (Delicious in Dungeon). It’s a hilarious and heartwarming anime about an adventuring party that eats monsters to survive the dungeons! It’s got all the DnD vibes, so you know I love it!
Listening To: I’ve gotten back into running most mornings, so I’ve revived my old running playlists. One of my favorite bands to run to is Linkin Park!
Reading: I’m a bit embarrassed to admit it, but nothing new! I really haven’t had a chance to pick up my books! Now that I’m home it will be easier!
